octaview is a product of octanis, based in Zurich, Switzerland. This policy covers octaview Studio and the marketing website octaview.ai.

Overview

octaview Studio collects no personal data. All machine data processed with octaview — PLC signals, camera frames, sensor readings — is stored locally on your on-premises octaview Edge Hub. It never leaves your premises, is never sent to octaview or octanis servers, and we have no access to it.

The only data we collect at all is basic, aggregate analytics for our marketing website, and any message you choose to send us through the contact form.

Data on your Edge Hub

The octaview Edge Hub runs on your infrastructure, on your network. Everything it records stays there. You control who can access it, how long data is retained, and when it is deleted. octaview Studio connects directly to your Edge Hub to review and visualize this data; nothing is uploaded to us in the process.

Website analytics

On octaview.ai we collect privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics — such as page views, referrers, approximate region, and device or browser type — to understand traffic and improve the site. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify or profile individual visitors.

Contact form

If you submit our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. We use this information only to reply to you. We do not add you to mailing lists or share your details with third parties.

Cookies

Our website does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you — in practice, this is limited to contact-form submissions. Write to us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

  • No usage tracking or behavioral analytics inside octaview Studio
  • No advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking
  • No sale or sharing of data with third parties

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be summarized clearly.
